Biography
Liz is a native Minnesotan who began her professional career as an artist before graduating high school with sales to teachers and fellow students. Her professional career as a largely self-taught, freelance artist has continued ever since.

Professional History
Commissions have included curriculum illustrations, book covers, children's activity books, stationery, logo designs, business signs and many privately commissioned pieces of fine art.

Her work has been available at the University of Minnesota Raptor Center, The Bell Museum of Natural History, Apple Valley City Hall and various local gift shops and art stores. In addition to selling her artwork, Liz has taught art to children in grades pre-k through jr. high at various schools in the Twin Cities.

Philosophy
"Creating beautiful artwork is very rewarding to me personally and when others enjoy my work it is that much more gratifying. I love the fact that there are no hard and fast rules in art: the artist is free to create a new world on the canvas using only his imagination and the medium.

"When I visit a good art museum, I leave with a sense of renewal and of the boundless possibilities in life and I hope to paint pieces that evoke similar, positive feelings for people."
